Michelle’s Bio
Michelle is a skilled legal professional who specializes in defending businesses and professionals in cases involving products, professional, and premises liability. With her expertise and experience, she is dedicated to providing the best possible defense for her clients.
Michelle started her career in law as a law clerk for Judge Jaliah Otto at the 16th Circuit Court of Missouri. After completing her clerkship, Michelle worked as a trial attorney for the Missouri Department of Revenue. In this role, she represented the State of Missouri in de novo appeals across all jurisdictions on the western side of the state.
Michelle joined the Clay County Prosecuting Attorney’s office in 2016 and served as an assistant prosecutor for five years. During this time, she gained extensive experience in the courtroom, including conducting jury trials for a range of cases, from DWIs to murder.
Michelle is a member of the Kansas City Bar Association and serves as Vice-Chair in the Torts committee of the Civil Litigation section. She’s also a member of the Association of Women Lawyers, Kansas City, and volunteers with Operation Breakthrough’s LEAP program to help children affected by poverty.
